David joined the film industry in 1970 as an assistant production accountant and worked at EMI Elstree Studios under the guidance of Brian Forbes.  His credits during that time included “The Boyfriend,” “The Railway Children” and “The Go Between.”

In 1972, moving across to Pinewood Studios, where would be in residence for over twenty five years, he became a freelance Film Accountant, took the opportunity to elevate to Production Manager and, combining his financial and production experiences, became a Line Producer, Representative for Completion Guarantors and, ultimately, a Producer. His experience now stretches to more than fifty films and TV productions on four continents.

In 1997, David was invited to Cardiff to be the “bondable” Producer on “Up n Under.”  This was followed by “The Testimony of Taliesin Jones” which received 5 Bafta Cymru nominations. Further productions in Wales included  the BAFTA award winning “Plots with a view”. He has now filmed fifteen times in Wales.

For many years a member of the Production Guild UK (board member for its inaugural 3 years) David has served on the “Skillset Cymru” training panel and tutored BA and MA at the Atrium University in Cardiff. He is currently a committee member of BAFTA Cymru.

David is an active writer, completing many screenplays, teleplays, short stories together with his first bestselling novel. Fully conversant with the script writing discipline, David also now adopts the role of script “guru” to many young aspiring writers.
Extensive surgery in the last five years resulted in a diary, “The Impatient Outpatient”, which was a bestseller on Amazon.

David lives in Cardiff and is married with a mature family.
